The Boat and Anchor Inn sits in a rural position on the side of the Bridgwater to Taunton Canal. Facilities close by offer cycling, walking, boating and fishing. Cycle hire is available in the nearby village of North Petherton and fishing permits are available locally. The inn itself boasts a high standard of decor and both a local and regional reputation for excellent food and customer service. The inn has been owned by the same family for over 20 years and extensive refurbishment has been done throughout the establishment over the past 3 years.

The building is fully double glazed and central heated and residents enjoy full freedom of movement with access to the building 24 hours. The Boat and Anchor Inn has a large function room where all occasions can be catered for. Local boat hire is also available, as are tennis courts in the village of Huntworth. The Inn is also conveniently situated less than 1 mile from junction 24 on the M5.

The Inn At Sampford is ideally placed, just a few miles from the M5 between junctions 26 and 27, the Inn is set amongst rolling green hills.

You will find an extensive menu, including a range of snacks and full meals, and our famous carvery is served on Wednesday lunchtimes and all day Sunday

The function suite can cater for up to a hundred guests and for a variety of needs.

The Lordleaze Hotel lounge bar has a real log fire and has a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant serves good quality local produce and is open to residents and non-residents alike. The banquet room can seat up to 120 guests and can tailor menus to suit the occasion (weddings, private parties or anniversaries). Restaurant menu and bar meals are available 7 evenings a week with a very popular Sunday Lunch.

Somerton Court Country House in Somerton is surrounded by beautiful lawns and gardens. The Cedar and Willow lawns are exclusively available to you, providing an idyllic venue for your day.

The Millennium Hall is a beautiful room adjoining the main house. Overlooking the lawns, gardens and trees, the Millennium Hall can cater for up to 140 guests for a sit down meal and afterwards is ideal for an evening party. A link to the adjacent Reception Lounge caters for up to 45 guests. Each room can be booked separately or used together for larger functions.

Somerton Court Country House in Somerton is close to many popular tourist attractions, including Somerton, Glastonbury, Street, Wells, Cheddar, Wookey Hole, Yeovil and Taunton.

Somerton Court Country House is a perfect base to explore a wide range of interesting places, which include stately homes, museums, gardens and the Royal Bath and West Show Grounds. The area offers good facilities for outdoor pursuits.

Although we do not provide evening meals, the centre of Somerton is only a ten minute walk with street lighting, or a two minute drive, where you will find five public houses and a number of restaurants.
