Security
"The Independents" are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. We use a secure server which is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates.
Credit Card
In order to confirm a booking we require your credit card details; under normal circumstances you pay the hotel on departure. We only require your details should you fail to arrive "no show" or fail to cancel according to the hotels cancellation policy.
"The Independents" never see the credit card details. The credit card details are collected by a company called Protx. "The Independents" never pass on, see or receive your credit card details; they are all held securely by Protx. You can read more about Protx and their security policies here.
How do I amend or cancel a booking?
In making a booking and confirming it with a credit card you have entered into a purchase that is governed by the hotels cancellation policy. Your attention is drawn to this policy throughout the booking process and stated on your confirmation email. If you cancel according to the cancellation policy of the hotel, there will be no charge, however, should you fail to turn up or cancel outside of the policy, the hotels will charge.
For all amendments or cancellations please contact our central reservations on 0800 88 55 44 between 09:00 and 17:30 Monday to Friday, should you wish to cancel out of these hours, please contact the hotel direct.
Can we book family rooms?
Most of our hotels offer family rooms. Due to the nature of family bookings and the range of family rooms available, family rooms cannot be booked online. To check availability or to make your booking please contact our Central Reservations office on 0800 88 55 44 or email us here.
