Description
The Grasmere House Hotel is a Large Victorian house, set back off the Harnham Road in 1.5 acres of colourful and mature grounds. The Grasmere offers ample space and time for relaxation in quiet rural seclusion. All bedrooms are luxuriously decorated with distinctive character and the building itself still retains the character from when it was built in 1896.
Situated on the banks of the Rivers Avon and Nadder at Salisbury, Wiltshire, the Hotel, which has 36 en-suite bedrooms, four in the original house and 32 in a new wing, is a favourite venue for wedding parties, conferences and those wishing to spend time taking in the delights of Salisbury and surrounding Wiltshire countryside.
The Conservatory Restaurant, also known as "The Bistro on the River", has spectacular views over the gardens down to the rivers Nadder & Avon, across the water meadows to Salisbury Cathedral. The restaurant has seating for 45 diners, it has a menu which has a variety of dishes that use local produce, daily specials also feature.
The hotel's conference suite can accommodate up to 110 delegates, the River Rooms are available for smaller gatherings, receptions and private dining. The Patio area is ideal for breaks, barbeques and buffet lunches. The Hotel can supply sound and audio-visual equipment to order.
Grasmere House has a license to conduct weddings; a choice of rooms is available in which to take wedding vows. The hotel can arrange for a marquee in its extensive grounds if additional space is required.
