Description

The Fieldhead provides a comfortable, traditional setting as a country house hotel by the sea. It occupies a prime, elevated position with unrivalled sea views from virtually every room across Looe Bay to Rame Head.

Horizons Restaurant has far reaching views across Looe Bay where diners can watch the fishing fleet come and go throughout the day. Mainly French and English, a daily changing menu with several choices offers a wide variety of fresh local produce. Fresh seafood, straight off the boats in Looe Harbour is a speciality, including John Dory, monkfish, sole, plaice, brill, sea bass, turbot, local scallops, mackerel and in season, Lobster and Crab. The wine list contains carefully selected wines from around the world that complement the food.

Looe is a picturesque fishing town with cobbled streets and quaint cottages just 15 minutes walk from the hotel. In summer a passenger ferry plies across the harbour mouth. The town beach is popular in the summer months while the rock pools and sandy coves below the hotel provide interest all year round. An excellent base for visiting the nearby attractions such as Fowley, the lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project.
